    Greetings,
As many of you have already stated, I too applaud Steve for hosting this
forum that allows for so much interesting interchange of information.
My name is Lyle Burke. I first traveled to Honduras and the Roatan in early
    1993.
In 1994 I returned with my wife and sister and we purchased a small property
overlooking French Harbor. I guess you could say at that point I was pretty
much hooked on the island and people living there.
In early 1996 I was offered a sales position with Remax which was opening an
office in French Harbor. I accepted, and we became full time island
    residents.
We returned to the states last summer to fulfill a promise to our two
    teenage
daughters---they both wanted to complete high school in the US.
A little less than a year ago I started a company, Tropical Pathways, which
offers Investment Discovery Tours to the Roatan. Our tours are a week long,
all inclusive package which will familiarize a person with the island as
    well
as providing information in regards to retirement, real estate law, banking,
tax incentives, residency requirements, building costs etc.---if you would
like additional info, please go to our web site--www. TropicalPathways.com.
I certainly would be happy to answer questions about the island. You can
    reach me at Islandlifestyles.....com
Thanks again Steve, for the opportunity to be part of this group.
    Lyle Burke
