Everett & Nancy, I do not know of any places where there is good shelling in Roatan, but I suspect there might be somewhere in the greater Punta Gorda area. It seems whenever we've been there, there are several children trying to sell shells that I have not found elsewhere. I don't know where they get them. Perhaps someone else out there will know more. I regret not buying one of the rose colored Conch shells and learning to blow it. I'm also not sure if it is OK to bring shells into the US. I'm assuming it is. I only pick up flat shells now. A marine biologist told me that any shell that has a internal space often will be used by different sea and shore creatures for a temporary home. I'm not trying to rain on your parade. I'm just passing that along.
