    Mark,

    We have found that by the time you get through the (usually) long wait in
    Immigration, a significant amount of your layover time has passed. The new
    SAP airport is pretty nice and not a bad place to wait it out. And, as
    Kristin mentioned, flight schedules can (and do) change without notice, so
    you won't want to be left behind. If you really want to see San Pedro Sula,
    you might consider staying over 1 night there and take a more leisurely day
    to tour the city and maybe take in a banana plantation (assuming they are
    still operating). We toured La Lima not long before Mitch, but I don't know
    if they are still up & running (or giving tours) anymore.
