    That brings up something I had forgotten. Visitors to Roatan vary in their
    response to the sandflies. For some people, they barely are bothered. For
    others, especially if they don't use repellent and scratch, they can get red
    marks. When I first arrived, I got red marks from them, but after a month
    or two they no longer left a mark and didn't itch.

    I also lived right on the beach when I first came down, which was great, but
    after a while I moved up in the hills. There were very few sandflies up
    there.
