Sorry Marge,
I'm not sure which is concidered the bungalows are they the privately owned homes?, I always stay in one of the cabanas over the water. The sound of the water always relaxes me. (although I don't need alot of help after 5 or 6 dives a day. I really liked Cocoview. It is not luxury but it is very functional. The rooms are basic about the only problem I encountered is that the water pressure is very low. I do avoid the rooms that are not over the water. I have found that they don't get as much breeze as the cabanas over the water. The food is great and very plentyful. It is served cafeteria style.
Your day will consist of breakfast, a morning boat dive where you will be taken to a dive sight away from the resort for 1 tank. You will then have surface interval time and be dropped off in front of the resort for your second dive. Then lunch, The afternoon boat dives, the same as the morning but differing sites. Then supper, and then you are free to do night dives (more than 1) from shore. (Nite dive is right dive).
During the week they have diversions from island tours (usually friday) to party night on hawksbill cay (used to be run cay).
I really loved the operation at Cocoview but I have since purchased a place in sandy bay so I don't stay there anymore.

Bill, Steve must have gotten my message confused. I'm Marge, and I wrote the dive site questions. Never having been to Roatan, I'm curious about what you think of Cocoview. We will be staying in Bungalow A or C. Do you have access to pictures of Cocoview. Their ad in the dive mags. sucks. I'd like to see pics of rooms and locations of rooms. What the restaurant looks like, etc. Thanks for the info. Did you dive when you went there? Cocoview determines which sites they will take you to. While large groups have some input as to were they would like to go, if you are going as a small group they will put you on a boat with others. On the positive side I have been to Cocoview 3 times and all of their sites are quite good (mostly walls). February is a great time to be there( or is it that your not up here?). Cocoview will have you do an inspection dive on sunday morning and you will be free to dive dunday afternoon.

Good Morning, All, Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the dive sites on the south shore of Roatan. As you all know by now, we'll be diving with Cocoview. I've seen the dive site list. It's not very complete. Where's the best sites. Is the visable good in February? Since we'll be flying in on Saturday, is it safe to dive Sunday? ----- Original Message ----- From: Sue Porubek Sent: Thursday, March 08, 2001 6:52 PM Subject: Re: [Roatan] info on roatan Hi Curt and Arlene.
