I haven't heard of anyone planning to replace the popular bird park that is being moved to Copan and will be finally closed by June, I understand. Perhaps a boarding kennel coupled with a new bird park (and possible a small gift shop, etc.) might be more sufficiently diversified to sustain itself. That bird park that is closing also functioned as a bird rescue operation and might have been somewhat instrumental in saving the parrot that is only found in the islands and is currently endangered, I believe.
