I agree. I've been to the island several times and American Express traveler's checks seem to be accepted all over there with no problem. Also, the last trip (December) we were there we found that you should bring new, crisp bills to the island. We had an older $50 bill and they would not accept it as they said the banks there will give them a problem. So try to bring newer bills with you that don't look like they've been through the wringer a bunch of times or they will not be accepted. Also, we found $20s and $10s good denominations to bring there also. Also, they will not accept American coins there.. just paper dollar bills. | |
