While my health insurance from work covered me while in Honduras, I added a rider from the American Auto Association. I bought this rider for 30 days (we traveled throughout Honduras in February) for a grand total of $16. It provided: *$50,000 medical air evacuation. (I have developed a back issue that may require surgery and didn't want that concern to interfere with vacation enjoyment). *$30,000 health insurance coverage. *trip cancellation components.
