    Hi Judy-
Sorry to hear you had a bad experience in SPS. My wife and I have been
going there for almost four years and have never had any. We go to the
mall and PriceSmart and Diunsa, TGI Fridays, Popeye's and have been
told not to, but walk the streets from hotels to all. The only thing
we have ever gotten are smiles and Holas.

I believe that things have even gotten safer there with the new
Presidential administration placing more police and soldiers on the
streets. Less gangs, less crime by quite a bit statistically. Of course
I lived on the south side of Chicago most of my life also and never had
a problem there either. Think it is like any big city. Where you go,
what time and how you are perceived.
