Very interesting-I am a Fl.General Contractor who has built professionally in
Hi , So. Pacific and own several props in Bocas del Toro. So I am very
familiar with local labor issues. My question is: Can I bring my own crew to
Roatan to build legally. In Bocas I am required to use local labor-which
means I pay then to screw up and cheat using American skilled labor.I have
found it much cheaper in the long run to get good American electrical and
plumbing in particular. Locals seem to be fine for wood if watched , albeit
slow. I am not slandering anyone on Roatan just sharing my experiences as a
Real Deal Licensed Builder. Also we are looking hard at Roatan ,in particular
a concrete CBC home due to hurricanes and other factors ie bugs ,rot etc.Do
they carry a premium in Roatan?Required here. Thanks in advance Roger
