Hi Darryl, For finding places to rent, you might want to check some of the listings at: http://www.roatanet.com/rentals.htm "The Wood House" is a nice little property. It is conveniently located in West End and is an easy walking distance of all that the West End community offers (beach, grocery stores, dive shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) The owner of The Wood House is a member of this discussion list and is very trustworthy. http://www.roatanet.com/woodhouse_f.htm In my opinion. renting a car for your entire stay is not necessary.
