I just returned from there on my third visit(Samana Santa), all the places cost about the same,($15.00 a dive with or without equipment) the key is to find a shop that has a larger dive boat that will take you out with two tanks instead of having to return after each dive. I used Coconut tree divers in September and they were great, but were totally booked up last week. One other parameter to consider is that sometimes the dive shops that employee local dive masters tend to know the dive sites a little better than the ones that train new dive masters, then employee them, though they have little knowledge of some of the out lying dive sites. Maybe someone else can comment on this??? Edward W.
