There's not a cheap place in Coxen Hole I can recommend as "American -style" or even camping out close. Are you aware that there are places to stay in towns on Roatan that would make Marlon Perkins turn tail and run for cover? Check with your real estate agent for safest "cheapie" places to stay. I can not reccomend that ANYONE stay in a $5-10 per night spot on Roatan in the middle of town--I know what they are -- and must assume that you value your health and safety. Sorry. Gotta answer this as I'd like someone to do for me in the same situation. There are no Econo Lodge motels in Coxen Hole or on Roatan. And, no this NOT about us and our place. If I knew of a clean, 24 hour safe place there for first time travelers I'd gladly tell you. Check Roatanet pages --if there even are any listings for Coxen Hole--and roll the dice.
