Toni, My husband and I made the trip, from St. Petersburg, Fl, to La Ceiba then Roatan about 4 years ago. We had a wonderful time and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I do have to second and third the suggestion about NOT carrying a gun. I think that the article Steve posted says it all. I am not critizing, but those who have not made the trip shoud not make suggestions as to what to do, when in reality, you don't know. You're only speculating, or should I say assuming. Please e-mail me off line and we can chat.
