So how much is it to have dial-up service on the island? I know just getting
a phone line has been very expensive in the past. But what about the fees
    for dialing up?

My mother in law (a native islander) is vague with me about the cost of phone
use there so I have no real idea. Are locals calls charges per call, by the
minute, or is it more like it is in the states, so much money per month for
local calls, and per minute charges for long distance.

It does sound like phone service is comparable to electric service, a little
    patchy now and then.

    Thanks,

    Johnna
