To Tikidax2...Dentures can be very tough to get 'used to'...anytime a plastic
material[dentures] is set tightly against tissue [area where teeth are
missing] there can be sore spots and adjustments will be neccessary.Sometimes where
the back teeth are missing the boney portion will resorb to varying degrees
decreasing the 'suction' and fit of the denture[I assume you are having an upper
denture].Also...my experience is that the lower dentures are the most
difficult because the ridge[where teeth are missing] can be thin and you do NOT have
suction...meaning you control the denture somewhat with your tongue. There are
dentures which can be made with a thin 'rubbery-like' material that acts as a
'cushion' onto the tissue. You may want to ask if that is available when you
have the exam.Ask the Dentist if you have a favorable upper and lower ridge to
accomodate the denture.I've made plenty of them!!...but never wore one!!..Hope
    this helps...Tom Richardson...incisor485.....com...oh..I'm a Dentist!!
