Get to water taxi by noon to get a good table by the time you get to HTW--expect to have a few drinks and eat around 2ish. Catch the water taxi in Oakridge to do the mangroves, but tell them you WANT to do the mangrove tour on the way to HTW to get it. Ask for Emmerol for water taxi. Tell Bob and Rhonda that Sandy and Waylon said Hi. If you catch the boat in Jonesville you're past the mangrove channels--which run between Oakridge and HTW. Should be fine to do the tour in calm water no matter what the sea looks like outside the reef. HTW closes when the people drinking and hanging out decide to leave, but is likely to be out of food service by 3PM or so. What time do they 'close'? Also when we went we caught a boat out of Oak Ridge. It was a straight shot to the resturant...no mangroves. I believe someone told me you should go from Jonesville to take the mangrive tour on the way to dinner? Is this correct? Where in Jonesville do you cactch the boat? What is a fair charge?
