Just returned from 10 days on the mainland and Roatan--Two new observations from our trip 1--We totally agree with the comments on Dian's Garden of Eatin at Half Moon Bay Plaza. We tried it twice with excellent grilled snapper, fried lobster and shrimp. There are about 17 seats inside with AC and the rest are outside. Don't miss!!!!!! 2-- We had a tour of Lloyd's bird park at Copan (use to be on Roatan). What a great place for the birds, the enclosures are much larger and the birds looked happier!!!! Flora and fauna wonderful, with the mall river rumming through the middle of the park. It is definitely worth a charter plane or bus to see the ruins in the cool AM, then the bird park in the PM. Lloyd says that he's trying to open the bird park to the public in Oct. 3--Rick's American Cafe is closed this month, and Bite on the Beach is closed until Oct 5.
