Lane-thanks for all the kind words about our island. One quick note about the 3 legged dogs. Most often it is caused by "dog meets vehicle", as you see in West End the island dogs just walk around freely in the streets. One you may have seen is a medium sized light brown, short haired dog named well, Brownie of course! He is very sweet and very protective of his young owner. The boy told me he had been hit by a motorcycle and the only way they could "fix" him was to remove the poor things leg. Brownie doesn't seem to mind much as he is always hopping around and playing on the beach with his friends.
