    Actually, while they do have some treatment capabilities, the
    industry is continually being fined for effluent dumping
    violations. There is tremendous debate regarding the ecological ill-
    effects of this industry. They are apparently not just big boats
    that hand out $$$ and take care of all of their own bad side-effects.

    Frankly, I think that the down-side to the Cruise Ships could be an
    easily compiled and lengthy list. The question I have is...has
    anyone done the math on the BENEFITS that they can bring to a place
    like Roatan. What do they offer a sleepy paradise like Roatan? Why
    is their arrival such a popular development?
