    Subject: [roatan] Roatan property remodling

I want to post another question/offer out to the group and see what
feed back I get. The house we'er buying is as I've been told called
very island style, single wall wood but fairly new, in great
condition, a beautiful lot and yard, and a good location on the
beach. In order to rent it and for my own family to stay it will need
some remodling. I wish I could say minor but what I have is a good
    shell to start with.

Small 2 bedroom 700 sq. ft.

    Needed now.

*Inner walls insulated and paneled, ceiling is done
    *Wife wants floors tiled
    *Replace kicthen cabinets and counter
    *Stove/oven (ele.)
    *Ref.
    *Wall AC unit added
    *A little plumming(PVC) and ele.
    *A little sanding and varish
    *Hot water heater replaced
    *Windows added over screens
*Outside just cleaned paint is fine
*Possibly a few roof patches, We didn't see any signs of leaks??
    (Tin Roof)

We'd also like to add in the future a wrap around porch and sliding
glass doors for the front door and out the master bedroom.

I guess what I'm asking is has anyone done this before and with what
results. Do you know of someone who might be intrested. Or if someone
on the group might be intrested.

Being a 1000 miles away there would have to be a lot of trust
involved so I would want to be able to clearly understand your scope
of skill sets, referances and if possible view past work or
verifiable pictures. Along with weekly updates by email with digital
    pictures of the work progress.
I'm not talking about a professional craftsman although that'd sure
be a plus. I could do all the work thats needed and I work with
computers by trade. I was raised by 2 school teachers and with the
pay they get we had to learn to do all our own work ourselves weather
it was house, cars, motorcyle ele., plumming, whatever. So don't be
detoured from contacting me if your not a craftsman by trade we could
    still talk and see.

Building materials, I had planned on getting estimates for the
materials. Then buying everything here in the states and shipping it
all at one time to the island. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm
thinking that it would be cheaper then buying there even with the
shipping cost because of the amount of materials thats going to be
    need from the list above.

Ok I won't ware you'al out here my wife always tells me when I get
wound up I can get a little long. Please any advise or opinion is
    helpful. Thanks
