If you were last there in 1997, you'll find that West End is a lot more developed now. If you're traveling with children ages 4 and 6 and want to be in West End, I would suggest looking at Posada Arco Iris - http://www.roatanet.com/posada_f.htm They have efficiency units with sea views at very reasonable prices. Posada Arco Iris is located directly across from the beach on Half Moon Bay. They also have some adorable little resident monkeys that kids (of all ages) will love.
