Subject: [roatan] We got our house.

Well we finally worked out an agreement with the owner on the price
of the house. Afraid it's going to delay some of the remodeling we
had planned. We're planning on coming down for a week over the
Thanksgiving holidays and do as much as we can in a week and get
someone set up to finish what we don't. We've decided not to insulate
and panel however since it appears that the builder didn't wait for
the wood to completely cure and dry out we are going to pretty much
have to caulk all the seams in the house walls and floor to seal it.
Is there a certain calking that is used down there that works better
then others or is this something that I should throw a couple 100
tubes of it in my suitcase and bring with us? We want to leave the
walls and floor the natural wood inside so again what have you found
that work best down there or would I need to pack a couple gallons of
clear coat here and bring it also?

I'm sorry that I haven't returned emails from all the people that
have contacted me wanting to know where it is It's been crazy around
here trying to get caught up at work and dealing with this. The best I
can tell you is it's a 700 square foot 2 bed rm/ 1 bath cottage
located on a little over one-quarter acre in Sandy Bay by the
property formerly known as the "Bird Park". It's a little, well I'm
not real sure what the color is, kind of a red with blue trim house.
I can walk straight out to the beach and see two piers one each
direction and we're right in the middle. However I don't know who's
they are I'll find this out later or I'm sure one of you are going to
    tell me.

Now that we've come to a price agreement on the house I need to
find someplace local for the furnishing. I've had a couple people
recommend me to men who custom build but with the time limit and a
little tighter budget now I need to be able to pick it up or better
have it delivered while we are there since we won't have anyway to
pick it up. We don't want anything fancy just plain I guess you'd
call it island style however it would need to be fairly strong for
rental use. We are also in need of a ref., stove and yes an AC unit
we want this option, if we could find these used it'd be great. Due
to the large amount of comments on this from people we'll go with a
gas stove so we will be needing a gas tank also and will hire someone
to install, run the connection piping and install as part of the
other work we need completed that we don't get done.

Any help with this would be great. Thanks
