    Subject: [roatan] House Rental

Well now my wife and I are having second thoughts about buying the
home on Sandy Bay. She wishes that someone could tell her something
more about the house. I'm not real sure what she wants to hear we've
seen the house and walked it. Her thought is that if it's such a good
deal how come it's still there that one of the island realtors or
investor hasn't jumped on it. The other issue if we could get some
help from some of you is what would be a normal avg. that these beach
homes really rent a year that we could really count on. If we could
at least count on avg. at least one to two weeks a month this could
work. Other wise I don't see the property value increase keeping pace
with the monthly cost of maintaining the house.

    $150 property management
    $60 month yard
    $60 month security
    $11.00 per cleaning
    $6.00 month water
    $???? ele.
$50.00 month insurance (about we'er told)

$337 per month mim. for the house to set empty.

Please correct me if I'm wrong or not seeing something. We really
loved the island and the little house and it is pretty much beach
front. But with this constant overhead and plus the house does need a
fair amount of work just to be made rentable. Thanks
