We had first planed to travel by land or water from Belize to Honduras, La Cebia, to get on ferry to Rotan, we really wanted to see the country but couldnt find a way to feel comfortable about it so we will probably fly from Belize city to Rotan by charter, but it's not cheap, cost $553. I am planning a trip in February and am having seconds thoughts. I would appreciate any comments from anyone who has recently visited this area. Secondly, I have read a couple messages posted in the Roatan Discussion Group where travelers have said everything in Roatan is much more expensive than what they had believed.
