Dave, Your comments on personal safety while in Honduras and Roatan are well taken. But nothing you said would prevent your mini bus from being stopped and everyone on it gunned down by a couple of thugs with machine guns. I don't know how safe I would feel traveling on the mainland, knowing that this kind of thing now happens. What have the police done on this case? Has anyone who pays attention to the Honduran news heard, yet? I have always felt safe in Roatan, taking those general precautions you described.
