My son is a musician that lives on the island and is married to a local Honduran lady. He recently had an area broken into and all his musical equipment was stolen. He put the word out to the local community there about it and told them there would be a reward if the thief was caught and all his equipment was returned to him. Money talks! Two locals caught the thief and brought him to my son. His equipment was recovered and the thief was turned over to the island police force. Maybe the idea of a reward being passed around would help apprehend these people and also make the island safer.
