yes i have some ideas that i would like presented at the meeting. sorry i am unable to attend. someone said money talks....how true,,,,, what if a large fund were set up by the Developers, resort owners and other interested residents.in the safety of investors and visitors to the island?????what about the money the cruise ships bring in?????where does that go???? This fund could be used to pay rewards for information leading to arrests........rewards for police that arrest criminals ( i believe the police on the island are only paid between $200 and $300 a month.) how many people would risk their lives for that amount? most of the time you have to pay for gas money for their truck...... how about some more veichles? the fund could also be used to pay for criminals incarceration. ooopps....have you visited the jail ? drive up that hill and see the reason most people are only held for 24 to 48 hours,,,, perhaps the fund could cover the cost of a jail also as a GIFT to the island The government will not change, the good guys just have to pay more than the bad ones, also the police officer,,,Fatima that Nancy Agnew spoke of is truly an honest. intelligent, hard working police officer.....bring pressure to bring her back or hire her to manage the fund. one more idea......pay the police and tourist police very well to attend english classes with a teacher provided by the fund......perhaps the classes could be taught at the police offices....... the taxes americans pay in honduras are obsenely low.....what do you expect???? it is time for people reaping profits from this beautiful island to give back......
