Tony,
Bring plenty of money for meals as the prices have gone up in the last year or two. AMEX T-Checks are no problem getting cashed at West End. Take a taxi but arrange for it the night before. The taxicab drivers are very reliable when they have a preset appointment.
One last thing, try not to carry too much cash on your person.
