By the way Bruce and others,

we had two housbreakings at the Iguana Station Utila,
    between last December and January.

Fortunatly nothing more happened than a stolen set of CB Radio Walky Talkys
    and our GPS.
The Police acted very helpful and concerned, but told our station director
that there was no chance to collect fingerprints (which were obviously
available) and other more distinguished "collection-of-evidence" methods.
Utila Police told us that the next Department of Police which has a capable
forensic unit was only available in Tegucigalpa (probably they als mentioned
    San Pedro Sula).

Does anybody knew the concrete situation ?
Is there really no forensic officer in La Ceiba ?

Maybe education and development of better crime research matters would be a
project to be suggested to US-Aid, German GTZ and so on.

    kind regards

    Sven Zörner
