    posted.

I have refrained from answering many of these false posts on this
    discussion
group, but I can not let this one go unanswered. You statement "of crazy

property deals with goof ball leases in Roatan are everywhere. With a
    three
tier system in Roatan trying to find the true owner at times is like
    trying
to buy property in China Town. " is just not true. As president of the
    new
Roatan Realtors Association I feel I need to let it be know that there
    are
far more legitimate transfers or sales of property than crazy land
    deals. If
one uses a reputable Realtor and Attorney, then one is can be assure
    that is
legal, as a matter of fact, both Stewart Title and First American Title
    now
provide title insurance. I have lived here for 14 years and I am married
    to
a woman from here and I have 2 children born here and to hear you say
    "Crime
is crime when their is a system in place like they have in Roatan. " is
    a
real insult. I do not know who you are but if you do not like it here
    you
are free to not live here. This happens to be my home, I am proud of it
    and
I try to help in every way possible to be a positive influence and not a

negative one like you. Why not post your name as to you statements. My
    name
is Phil Weir and you can find me anytime you want at my office. I would
    be
glad to enlighten you on the positive aspects on Roatan.

    Best regards,
    Phil C. Weir, Broker/Owner, REALTOR
