Thanks Phil for your positive statement

Roatan has more good than bad and I think everyone here can agree to that

Better communication and raising the standard of living for the locals will
do wonders in holding down crime. People don't have to steal if they make a
fair wage to feed and shelter themselves and family.

1.Our goals should be a couple of new police vehicles that can make it to a
    crime scene after being called.

2.Get an ambulance service going with train paramedics

    3. Upgrade the fire dept. I have a friend that works for Carrollton Texas
Fire Dept. and they have equipment they will donate if we could get a way down
here for it. Steve Townsend is his name and _thelink..... They have a lot of equipment a little out dated but
way better than we have here. Plus sometimes they have surplus of new things.
Steve is a firefighter, paramedic, and a training instructor. Plus he loves
Roatan and has been here twice.

    4. I also believe Jerry Hynds is right we have to do this ourselves and not
rely on the government. I think we should have an auction for fun and come and
donate for police equipment, radios, ambulance, and trucks or autos

    5. I am for getting rid of the camouflage uniforms on the police. I love the
way the tourist police dress but the local guys look like they are going to
war rather than protect and serve. Image means a lot especially if your going
for tourism and the camouflage has got to go.

    Thanks again Phil
