    Dear List,
I too have read over the crime posts over the last few weeks.
Appreciating the proactive solutions suggested. Kudos to you phil for you
comments. I am married to an islander and have made it our home on and off
over the last ten years. I have close ties to many islanders and gringos
alike , however those people who have come to the island feeling entitled I
steer very clear of. I agree that crime is a very real and pressing problem
but advocating what joe stated"Let's not put too many excuses and let's find
    a solution for Roatan sake,
    > for Honduras sake and for everyones sake even if it comes down to basics
    like

Feels fundamanetaly wrong to me. Take a good look around in Roatan. There is
the rich and the working poor. The divide continues to deepen. How dare we
waltz in assume to understand how it feels to watch your island change >
Unless you have something positive to contribute please find another place
    to grace with your presence.
