Thanks to all who responded to my question and concern about safety in Roatan. My husband and I are very much looking forward to our upcoming trip and are glad to hear that so many others before us have had memorable experiences. We know almost nothing about the island and are going there mainly to experience the diving. We have enjoyed island life in Ambergris Caye and many other Caribbean locations for many years and decided to try something new. We are staying at Anthony's Key, and I am especially looking forward to the dolphin dive there. Although the resort is all inclusive, it sounds like we need to save time to visit west end for a taste of the action.
