    Hello All,

I hope I'm not asking questions that have already been posted to
death, but I couldn't find anything current in the archives.

I've only recently started researching The Bay Islands and am really
intrigued by a trip to Guanaja. I've been on some of the resort web
sites (the ones that have them), but I would like to hear from
    someone who has stayed there.

Let me tell you what I find so fascinating so you can see where I'm
coming from. My wife and I are both advanced open water divers and
have been to Bonaire, Caymans and Nassau. I like the idea of the
larger pelagic species that inhabit the waters around the islands and
the great diversity of the smaller species on the reefs. The diving
    sounds great.

As for island activities, we are NOT into the nightlife, casinos,
large crowds, etc. Our ideal day is to spend a few hours hiking up a
remote trail and not seeing another human being. We love wildlife
(particularly reptile and amphibian species) and photograph a LOT of
    them.

Am I totally off base in thinking a trip to Guanaja is for us? One
place in particular that sounded pretty appealing to me is the End of
the World Resort. Mostly because of it's isolation and proximity to
    Michael Rock Peak.

Anyway, any information on the Guanaja resorts is greatly
appreciated, please feel free to e-mail me direct as well as post to
    the group.

    Michael
