GREETINGS Dan Mire here, Gringo living in San Pedro, I also have the restaurants in the Airport 3rd level observation deck, as to what to see there are few things of interest within striking distance, but most will require a car. There is one area of Artisans near downtown called GUAMILITO, this all a clooection of wood carvings and paintings and pottery and other items, there is a Crocodile Farm outside the city about 10 miles, over 6000 from eggs to 18ft. long, but times vary when they are open and when they will let you in, all depends who is there at the time. There is a really nice little Winery near the Mall and Copantil Hotel, they have a really nice little tour with or with out luch, reservations are a must, YEP, free samples too, GOOD STUFF! There are more activities but require one hour each way driving times. Hope this helps, Stop us and see us. Good Luck, DAN AND ELSY

I have a 7 hour (2 - 9pm) layover here on my return trip from Roatan. How far from the airport is the city, and are there any interesting things to see and do here in this amount of time? I imagine this must be a common excursion as TACA has many connections here.
Thank You
