Marian -
Finally a light topic to which to respond.
The four popular local beers are Salva Vida, Imperial, Port Royal (the green one) and the new kid on the block, Bahia.
Salva Vida is very close to Fosters bottled, Imperial leaves a peculiar aftertaste, Port Royal is a bit light for my taste and Bahia leaves that same "I just drank soapy dishwater" taste that I always enjoy with Samuel Adams.
But to each his own.
Why pay a $1.50 for the expenisve imported beer (Budweiser) when the locals are just as good for $.60 (Islanders get to pay more.)
