Hi Group, Thanks to all who answered my earlier request for information on brush clearing for our property at Big Bight- I think I replied to everyone directly, but if I missed you, just wanted to be sure to say THANKS for sharing your input. It looks like we found someone, and will hopefully start this week. To that end, we are also going to be looking for a long-term rental that we can stay at while we work on getting the land ready for subdividing: DATES: We are looking to start the rental mid -May (approx May 17th), and at a minimum, can commit and pay for up to 3 months up front, though it will probably be more like 5-8 months that we will be renting. LOCATION: Ideally located somewhat near Big Bight, but we have transportation, so are flexible. East end of the island is good as well. SIZE: Looking for at least a 1 bedroom, or very spacious efficiency with room for a desk area. Kitchen area needed. TYPE: We aren't looking for a luxury vacation rental (though our tastes would certainly appreciate it, our budget won't allow for that!), but something clean, safe, and ideally with some form of decks or outdoor living area. BUDGET: We are looking at about $550-600 per month. US: My husband Brad and I have been homeowners in Hawaii, and are certainly the type of people who appreciate our home and living area and would take excellent care of a rental. We have local references as well as those from Hawaii. (Most recently, Brad was the marine mammal stranding coordinator and marine biologist in Hawaii, and I ran a marine education program at the University of Hawaii.)
