Just wanted to warn visitors about the costs involved with using the new payphones. I used the phone outside of the Mayan Princess office on 3 occasions. It works really well - you just press the button indicating you want to call Canada and follow the automated instructions including entering your credit card # and voila you are connected home. On 2 of the 3 occasions, I got answering machines so I left a brief message on one and on the other just hung up without leaving a message. The third call I talked briefly. When I got my credit card statement I was charge over $41 CDN for EACH call. So even though they work well connection wise I would not recommend their use.
