While I was in Mexico that also happened to me and my bill was over $400.00. I contacted a congressman and he helped myself and a friend. We had asked their operator how much the call would be and she said she did not know and I asked if it was close to the same price as like MCI or ATT and she said yes, she guessed. We were charge for same rate as MCI would have charged. Plus a $1.00 charge per call. We contacted the hotel and they got a share of the phone profits so they did not care. Again this was in Mexico.
