    I read ALL of what you wrote, and I agree with you wholeheartedly. I
    also own condos in Roatan, and live in Roatan Part time. It is decreasing the
    sellability of them with all the negative discussions on this forum that the
    newcomer to the Island or forum do not totally understand. I have stayed
    alone frequently on the Island, and have walked the beach alone at night on
    occasions and I have NEVER had a single problem while staying in Roatan, and have
    never felt unsafe or threatened. I also have more friends in Roatan, then I
    have in my own neighborhood in Utah. Also Utah being a far safer state to
    live in than alot of states in the U.S. I must say that there is ALOT more
    crimes reported everyday in Utah that what ever happens in Roatan. I think the
    crime issues in Roatan need to be disussed and not put on a back burner, but
    let's not scare off visiters and potential investors to the Island.
