Calvino, I thought you had dropped off the face of the earth! Good to hear from you. I hope you will be posting memories of Guanaja in the old days..on both lists, not just the hondo1 list as before. I know others would enjoy reading them as much as I do. I still keep promising myself to swing by Tampa some day and take you to dinner...maybe this summer some time. By the way, I am looking for information regarding a tidal wave, now being called by the Japanese name "tsunami", that struck the Bay Islands in 1934. It was thought to have originated somewhere out near Swan Island from a strong seaquake. Some years ago I corresponded with a lady from Bonacca Town who was on a boat on her way to La Ceiba when they suddenly found themselves grounded on a dry sand mount they never knew existed, and were stranded there for a "long time" before the sea again rose and set them afloat. If you heard anything about this when you were a kid I'd sure like to hear about it. They lady was elderly when I knew her and I have no idea whether or not she is still alive. In moving I lost her address years ago. Take care, and I am happy you have made contact again. As for your question on my novel about Roatán, "The Judas Bird". Here is the web site where you can see the readers' reviews and decide for yourself.. There are also a couple of excellent reviews on the Reader Reviews maintained by Amazon.Com. I prefer to sell from my own website...allows me to at least cover my book's production cost and to autograph the book for those who are buying the First Edition from me. Web site= < http://www.thejudasbird.com >. I am about one third through a new, much smaller historical novel about the Bay Islands entitled "Red at Dawn". I have hopes of having it finished and published by late Fall. Take care, and all the best...dke
