    Marsha -

Customary tipping in restaurants in Honduras is nothing, zero, nada.
By and large Hondurans do not tip, its not customary.

Wait staff in Honduras are not paid under minimum wage as they are in
the United States. In addition to their regular pay, Honduran workers
(including restaurant workers) have about a 40% benefit package that
comes along with the job in addition to pay.

You will find some establishments that add a gratuity to the check
(that it might actually go to a waiter/waitress would be a surprise).

    Tipping is appreciated, of course.
