Well it looks like I have annoyed someone with my first Wyndham email. I would like to clarify something. I mentioned in my email that this was third hand information and that I had not actually spoken to anyone directly involved. I also suggested that others provided "more/different" information if it's available. Which has been done. It's was pretty obvious what I was reporting was hear-say. I have found in the past the 'indirect' information on Roatan is more accurate than 'direct' information....but that is just what I have found. Others may feel going direct to the source a better option. If I would have heard this from 1 or 2 people I would not have mentioned it. But I heard the same story from many people....not one person told my it was still on. I also said "I am not accusing anyone of anything just relaying what I heard". I posted this 'gossip' as an FYI as noted in my email. Just passing information on to others and they can do with it what they will. I do not have any DIRECT knowledge someone lost money. The person who just sent me an email says they haven't. So I believe him too. My email subject said "Wyndham project dead?" not "Wyndham project dead!". I other words a question not a statement.
I understand Wyndham will break ground in a couple weeks. Pictures of the ground breaking ceremony would be nice. What better way to dispel the rumors?
I was told to either retract my comments or I would be contacted by a lawyer. Why does everyone always throw out the lawyer card? For once I'd like someone to threaten me with their babysitter or gardener. "Either retract your statement or I'll have my gardener cut all your rose bushes down".
Fine...I retract my statements. I made it all up. None of it was true. It was the rum talking.
In closing I would like to say that I am happy this project is going through. I feel a group (Wyndham) of this quality will add an element to the island that will greatly help it. A golf course will bring a new group of folks to see the island. Obviously that does not go to well with the 'I like the island the way it is' crowd, but like they say you can't stop progress. They should be able to provide jobs for many, many people which in turn helps the island. Just my opinion...... Hopefully I will still be allowed to play there?
