Well said Phil I share your sentiments entirely.We really don't need negative , sarcastic comments that are of absolutely no constructive use from some know it all Johnny come lately whose entire free time is spent sitting with a beer in hand enjoying a magnificent Roatan view whilst whining and criticizing its shortcomings which after all are common to everywhere else.If you don't like what its like here , you are free to leave at any time or get actively involved and contribute to the community. I have lived on Roatan for all of my adult life .I have teenage islander children and a few years ago I was seriously thinking of moving them from Honduras but I now see so much change for the better for everyone and so much genuine effort from authorities to change and improve that I can honestly say that I consider myself priviledged to live here and fortunate that my kids will have grown up here ; they are proud to be islanders .
