Roxanne...I liked your wind-up, "...so don't blast me!" It does seem sometimes
that if someone who may not be living on the island does ask a perfectly good
question they are inviting a "blast"...usually from someone who does live on the
island and who does have a business...that depends if not totally than close to
it...on investors and/or tourists. I think it might be well for all of us on
these various Bay Island lists to be a bit more polite to each other and to
those who do not happen to be so lucky as to live on the island and, I happen to
agree with Phil in some part...it is just that folks get so sensitive when it
looks as if Roatan might be getting a black eye, and that maybe someone out
there just might decide to stay home with their money. I too, like Roxanne,
would like to have known more about the Waterfront Robbery...and the same
questions Roxanne asked popped into my mind as well. Could it be that there was
no such robbery? Without more data than to come on and accuse the police of not
doing their job would irritate anyone...and I can see where Phil is coming
from...it is just that there are better ways to go about it. Why accuse someone
who was indeed way off base and then go way off base yourself as well? Unlike
Roxanne, however, I really could care less if someone cares to "blast me"...go
right ahead, but do it politely, please. As for matching wits with some
folks...well, sometimes it just doesn't pay to fight unarmed folks over little
    or nothing at all!
    All the best...dke
