Dear listmembers, When I go to this site: http://www.projecthonduras.com/missions/ I see many medical missions to Honduras, but none to the Bay Islands. I am thirty seven and a good number of my friends are young doctors and surgeons. Some are also my clients as I am in the insurance business. Recently I discussed with a surgeon friend of mine if he would be interested in giving a week of his talents to poor Bay Islanders and he said yes!!! Moreover he said that he could give two weeks per year and that he could convince a team of his colleagues to join. Could anyone provide direction on where I should start to make this happen. I have no problem raising the money to transport the doctors to and from Roatan as I am a seasoned fundraiser. Could someone please give direction as I would like to transform this conversation into an actual annual or bi-annual mission the impacts the lives of many Bay Islanders who otherwise would not be able to afford major surgery.
