Marsha - Except in the old western movies, the same thing would have happended in the good old USA. Self defense is a justification for homicide which must be raised in the proceedings and the force used must have been appropriate under the circumstances. Defense of property will not cut it under US law. My opinion only, Honduras already has too many people toting guns. If you are going to have one you need to realize the consequences before using it. Hopefully for Peter things work out.
