    Subject: [roatan] Cell Phones

I have a gsm quad band cell phone that includes the 850 and 1900
frequencies in use in Honduras. I understand that I just need to buy a
sim card in Roatan to get local rates. I spoke to:

http://www.celtel.net/ They said the sim card is $5.00 and incoming
calls are free and outgoing are 25 cents/min and they use the 850
    frequency.

http://www.megatel.hn/gsm.htm said they use the 1900 frequency.
Can anyone confirm where to get local sim cards and if there is a
choice which service to go with? I am not interested in AMPS or CDMA
    prepaid cards just GSM.
