I also was stung all over my torso while swimming in West Bay. If you feel any sting in the water, it's important that you strip first and then immerse yourself in fresh water. If serious enough a physician will administer an injection to stop the itching. I was able to handle my condition with an antihistamine (claritin) and calamine lotion.
